Families looking to make plans for spring break next year can look at visiting OKANA, the $400 million resort being built along the Oklahoma River.

Regional marketing for the attraction is about to ramp up with the 11-story, 404-room OKANA hotel now accepting reservations for stays as early as April 1.

Some of the hotel rooms are already completed and ready for furnishings. They range in size between 420 and 720 square feet, larger than traditionally sized hotel rooms, and will be able to accommodate an average of 4.3 guests per room.

Laura Rudicel, marketing director at OKANA, said the hotel is designed for vacationers but also will accommodate business travelers, weddings, bachelorette parties and other special occasions. Once open, the resort is expected to accommodate more than 2,000 people.
