Oklahoma City MSA unemployment rate improves slightly

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released the latest unemployment rate data and Oklahoma City had a rate of 2.7%. This data represents the month of March and was an improvement from February’s rate of 2.9%.
Oklahoma City continues to have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country for major metros. For this period, OKC had the 10th lowest rate in the country. For comparison, Cleveland had the highest unemployment rate at 6.7%.
At the state level, Oklahoma had an unemployment rate of 2.7% which was a small increase from the previous month’s 2.6% rate. Unemployment continues to be better in all of Oklahoma’s 77 counties when compared to this time last year.
