Planned 90-acre north OKC tourist destination has ‘all kinds of potential’

Construction will begin this year on some key elements at The Half – a 50-acre mixed-use development in north Oklahoma City.

Completion of all projects on the site is still a couple of years away, but the developers already are looking ahead to a second half.

Another 45 acres south of the first phase has “all kinds of potential” for more new-to-market entertainment and retail uses, developer Randy Hogan said Tuesday.

Hogan predicts the entire 90-acre mixed-use development will be “a tourist destination.”

The 50-acre site on the American Fidelity Assurance Co. campus southeast of Broadway Extension and Britton Road is home to Dolese Bros. headquarters, Flix Brewhouse and Chicken N Pickle among other businesses.
