In 2022, roughly 117,800 new people moved to Oklahoma, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, far outpacing the 85,000 who left. In fact, a recent study showed that Oklahoma ranks in the top 10 of states receiving the most out-of-state migration.

In 2021 and 2022, people moving from state to state increased to its highest rate in a decade, with roughly 7.9 million moving to another state in 2021. A record was set in 2022 with 8.2 million interstate movers.
