Oklahoma City continues to see strong employment numbers

Oklahoma City had the 10th-lowest unemployment rate among large metros in the U.S. Since the start of 2023, the Oklahoma City MSA has seen its unemployment rates drop each month.  

  • For March, the most recent data released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the metro saw an unemployment rate of just 2.7%. This was down slightly from February’s rate of 2.9%. 
  • For comparison, Las Vegas had the highest unemployment rate at 5.7%. 
  • On the county level, the unemployment rate also went down from 3% to 2.9%. 
  • Statewide unemployment was at 3% and the national average came in at 3.5%.
