OKC boasts 10th-lowest unemployment rate in the U.S.

The unemployment rate for the Oklahoma City MSA continues to tell the story of the metro’s strong economy. According to the latest data released, OKC had an unemployment rate of just 2.5% in April. This represents an improvement from March's rate of 2.7%,
Oklahoma City also continues to have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation for major metros with more than 1 million in population. The 2.5% rate ranked No. 10 in the country. For comparison, Cleveland has the highest rate at 5.4%.
The news was also good statewide as unemployment was better in all of Oklahoma’s 77 counties when compared to this time last year. The state rate remained unchanged at 2.7%.
