OKC MSA now boasts the 3rd-lowest unemployment rate in the U.S.

The latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that for May, the Oklahoma City MSA had an unemployment rate of 3.6%. This represents the 3^rd-lowest rate in the U.S. among metros with more than 1 million in population.

The rate of 3.6% was a slight improvement from the previous month’s unemployment rate of 3.7%. In total, the unemployment rate was better in all of Oklahoma’s 77 counties when compared to May of last year. Statewide, the unemployment rate came in at 4%.
