For May, OKC boasts one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country

For the month of May, the Oklahoma City MSA saw an unemployment rate of 2.9 percent. This represents the 15th-lowest rate among metros with more than one million in population in the U.S.

On a statewide level, the rate was lower in 73 of Oklahoma’s 77 counties compared to May of last year. Nationally, the rate continues to hover at 3.6 percent.
