In downtown Oklahoma City, two MAPS 3 projects are still under construction, but one opens in 100 days.

The $132-million Scissortail Park will celebrate its grand opening later this year, with a live concert on the newly-named Love’s Travel Stops Stage and Great Lawn. The staff at the Park Management Company, which also oversees Myriad Gardens, is planning several special events for the grand opening. More details about those activities will be posted at scissortailpark.org. People should especially check the site on June 26 when a concert announcement will be posted.

The grand opening is for the park's north side. The area extends from Oklahoma City Boulevard, south to Interstate 40, and east to west from S. Robinson Avenue to S. Hudson Avenue. The south section is expected to be completed in 2021. It starts at Interstate 40 and stretches as far south as SW 15th Street.
