OKC metro boasts the 5th-lowest unemployment rate in the U.S.

For the month of March, the unemployment rate in the Oklahoma City MSA fell to 3.0 percent. This represents the 5th-lowest unemployment rate in country among major metros.

On the state level, the unemployment rate is lower in 74 of Oklahoma’s 77 counties compared to March of last year. The state’s unemployment rate was 3.1 percent for the month. Nationally, the unemployment rate continues to hover at 3.8 percent.
