Unemployment rate in metro remains steady

For the month of October, the Oklahoma City MSA had an unemployment rate of 2.8 percent. The rate remains unchanged from the month before and represents the lowest rate the metro has seen since January 2001.

The Oklahoma City MSA currently has the ninth-lowest unemployment rate of metros with more than one million in population. The statewide unemployment rate is 3.4 percent and is down in all 77 of Oklahoma’s counties when compare to the year before. The national rate is at 3.7 percent.
