OKC sees lowest unemployment rate in more than 17 years

For the month of September, the Oklahoma City MSA had an unemployment rate of 2.8 percent. This represents the lowest unemployment rate the metro has seen since January 2001. In August, Oklahoma City saw an unemployment rate of 3.2 percent.

Oklahoma City now has the sixth-lowest unemployment rate out of all the major metros in the United States. From a statewide perspective, all of Oklahoma’s 77 counties have lower unemployment rates than this time last year.

@okcretail ICYMI unemployment in OKC in October remained at 2.8%. This isn't just the lowest unemployment rate in Oklahoma (but unemployment is down statewide in all 77 counties!), but the lowest it's been since 2001.
