Capital idea: coffee and ice cream coming to Midtown in one place

Ice cream and coffee fans will have a new place to convene in Midtown when Capitals Ice Cream and Coffee opens this spring.

Almost a year in the planning, the new concept at 1006 N Hudson Ave. (next door to Barrios Fine Mexican Dishes) is owned by Landon Ferguson, Connor Cox, and Ibsen Crespo, of Oklahoma City; Eric Gilbert, of Tulsa; and Layne Ferguson, of Dallas.

"We have all been friends for a few years now, but we realized that as we were growing older and working, we spent less and less time together. So we decided to combat this, we would just start a business together that forced us to spend time together.
