Gogi Go, new Korean concept, opens Friday
The new year always means new restaurant arrivals, and 2018 is no different. Midtown welcomes Gogi Go, a new Korean fast-casual concept, to the neighborhood this week.
Taking over half the space previously occupied by Organic Squeeze Kitchen Table, 1325 N Walker Ave., chef Kevin Lee and partners John Lee and Jason Chang did a soft lunch service Tuesday working toward its grand opening on Friday for lunch and dinner.
Chef Lee will continue as executive chef of Vast, but this week he will spend his vacation working and training staff on the flat-top.
Lee promises a simple menu with big flavors, inspired by traditional Korean barbecue. Diners choose their protein and whether it will be served over rice or in a burrito at the counter with banchan (a variety of pickled and fermented condiments) to choose from before you eat.
