Warren plans Oklahoma City cinema

Warren Theatres plans one of its upscale movie complexes — its first in Oklahoma City — just off the Kilpatrick Turnpike at Eastern Avenue.

The Warren Theatre at Eastern Ridge is part of a 110-acre commercial and office development. The city council is consider rezoning the property March 28.

Based in Wichita, Kansas, Warren Theatres has cinemas in Wichita, Broken Arrow and Moore. Plans recently were announced for a 14-screen Warren Theatre in Midwest City.

Warren's luxury movie complexes include amenities such as "director's suites" with heated recliners and food and beverage service.

Balcony seating and lounges are reserved for ages 21 and up. Amenities include big screens, state-of-the-art sound and reserved seating.

"Sensory sensitive" showings for families with children who are disabled or on the autism spectrum include brighter house lights in quieter settings.
