Deep Deuce hotel will be designed to address its neighbors' concerns

Plans are moving forward again for a hotel in Deep Deuce with the developer proposing a boutique brand with retail in response to concerns voiced when a Springhill Suites was proposed for the same property three years ago.

Atul Patel ultimately redesigned the Springhill Suites and built it in east Bricktown, and the hotel is set to open in November. After hearing from Deep Deuce residents that they did not like the appearance of the previous proposal and its surface parking lots, Patel is hoping to get a better response with an Indigo boutique hotel with structured parking and ground-floor retail.

The hotel also may include a rooftop pool and bar.

“It's going to be very unique,” Patel said. “Everyone said they wanted a boutique hotel there. And we wanted to make sure we had something right.”
