Hollie’s Flatiron to open in northwest OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY – The northwest corridor is getting the city’s first Hollie’s Flatiron Grill.

The shopping center at NW 150th Street and N. Pennsylvania Avenue has a free-standing building that faces NW 150th Street. The building was supposed to be home to a new idea from the Hal Smith Restaurant Group.

The company was going to put a neighborhood bar and breakfast restaurant under one roof.

“We had a change of heart of putting those two together,” said Hank Kraft, chief operating officer for the Hal Smith Restaurant Group. “We’re going to split them up and do them at different times.”

O’Connor: Scissortail Park will spark development

Breaking ground on the MAPS 3 park and officially naming it the Scissortail Park is a vision turned reality for many Oklahoma City residents. Oklahoma City voters approved the downtown public park as part of MAPS 3 in 2009. Since then anticipation, dreaming, planning and comprehensive efforts have brought us to this milestone.

Scissortail Park will be completed in two stages, starting first with the 40-acre upper section of the park, which stretches from the future Oklahoma City Boulevard south to Interstate 40. Scheduled completion is spring 2019.
